God is extending an invitation to you. When He sent Jesus to this world to die for us, the invitation was presented to you. To me. Through Jesus, God is inviting each one of us to a relationship with Him. We can never be perfect – never be good enough for God’s standards, so Jesus offered himself as payment for our sin.
When we accept God’s amazing invitation we become part of His family. A daughter of God. A son of God. And the spirit of God – the Holy Spirit – comes to live inside of us. He lives through us. Giving us strength, wisdom and help in this world. It is a relationship that will sustain you like nothing else ever will.
The Bible says - ‘There’s nobody living right, not even one, For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.’ (Romans 3:10, 23).
‘The payment for sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus.’ (Romans 6:23).
‘If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.’ (Romans 10:9).
God wants to have a relationship with you! In fact, He created you for that reason. If you would like to accept God’s invitation, please pray the following prayer. ‘God, I know I can’t be perfect. I am a sinner. I ask you to forgive my sins. I need you and I want you to take control of my life. Jesus, I believe that you died for me. I believe you rose up from the dead for me in the resurrection. Show me Truth in your Word and help me to follow you. Amen.’
This is a new beginning for you! ‘If anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come.’ (2 Corinthians 5:17). A beautiful process of growing in Christ begins today. What a journey of discovery it will be! God will do great and amazing things in your life if you allow Him to. Seek out the Pastor or another leader on the church staff and let them know about your decision to follow Christ.
