We All Have a Story...
The daughter of a music and youth minister, Tina grew up in the church. She began singing at an early age and it was apparent that God had gifted her with a voice that would move people. Tina continued to develop her gift and had a dream to become a music artist as an adult. Moving from Florida to Nashville, doors began to open for Tina and she spent a few years as a session singer, always reaching for her dream of being signed to a Christian record label. But God, in His grace, had other plans for her life. Tina reached a level of brokeness in her personal life, and was faced with the truth about her relationship with God. It was shallow and lifeless. She had chosen a path of disobedience and it had left her empty.
God’s forgiveness awakened a new dream. Now Tina would do what God wanted, loving Him with reckless abandon. The journey led her into a state prison as a volunteer. In her first meeting there, she was asked to be the prison choir director. Shocked and unprepared, God gave grace and wisdom as Tina made herself obedient to the task. She now leads a group of over 65 inmates weekly. She has been investing her life into those women for over 5 years. Teaching them the Word of God and what it means to worship Him. Freedom behind razor wire is contagious!
God called Tina to teach while serving as a prison volunteer. God used an inmate to impress Tina to teach a Bible lesson each week. Soon she began to write and prepare Bible studies for the inmates. As a result of her time in God’s Word, Tina fell in love with her Savior more deeply as He began to grow in her in the gift of communication. Her joy of teaching and ministering through song blossomed. Today, Tina is enjoying the wildness of God as He continues to be full of surprises. After all, she finally understands that’s it’s all about HIM. His love ~ poured out through each life He changes.
Tina has been married for 22 years and has 3 sons. She and her husband make their home near Nashville, TN.
